The Participant ExperienceView, Register and Bid/Buy/Donate As GalaBid is web based, there is no need for participants to download an app. They simply visit the link, view the auction items and place bids, make purchases, donations or buy tickets depending on the item types included in the campaign. They will be prompted to register before they place their first bid or make a purchase/donation. Participants in auction campaigns recieve automated notifications when they have been outbid.

Do participants download an app?No, the plaftorm is web based. It's easily accessible on any browser. Campaign administrators simply share the link/URL to the campaign with potential participants. A QR code is downloadable from the dashboard. This code points to the registration page of the campaign.

How do potential participants find my campaign?1) The campaign manager promotes the link. Typically the link is shared by the manager via all available channels - email, social media etc. GalaBid does not publish a listing of campaigns on the platform. 2) Each campaign also includes a QR code which points to the campaign's registration page. This code can be viewed and downloaded by clicking on the QR code icon in the top black bar in the campaign's dashboard.

Can participants make themselves anonymous?Yes, when registering, a participant will have the option to check a box to choose to be anonymous. They can also update this at any time from My Account when they are logged into the campaign. Anonymous participants' names will appear in the dashboard and on any invoice. Raffle Draw Leaderboard Note that Anonymous winners' names appear as anonymous on the Raffle draw leaderboard.

Can participants view items before they register?Yes, once the campaign manager/organiser shares the campaign link with potential participants they can view all items. If they try to place a bid in an auction or donate to a crowdfunding campaign, buy now etc, before registering, the system will prompt them to register first.

Can participants pay in their own currency?Only one currency can be set for each campaign. Participants from any location can make payments using credit or debit cards if a Stripe account is connected to the campaign. (A Stripe account must be connected to all Voluntary Contribution and Fixed Fee campaigns. ) Stripe then calculates the exchange rate at the time the payment is made and the funds are received by the campaign manager in the currency as per their Stripe account.

How do I set up the countdown timer for participants to view?To set an auction to close at a specific time, go to Control Panel and check "close the auction at a specific time". Click on the calendar icon or type in the time and the count down timer will appear in the dashboard on the bar in the top left corner and on the campaign itself, for participants to view.

How do I test run a campaign to see the participant experience?1) Set up a new campaign for testing purposes. Name it with TEST clearly in the url, to avoid mistaking it, at any time, for the live campaign. Connect your stripe account and go to items > advanced options to transfer items in from the live campaign. 2) See the link for your campaign in the top bar in the lefthand corner. Also see the QR code that is link to the registration page for the campaign.

Activity FeedThe Activity feed is the comment section on the GalaBid platform for participants to leave comments during your campaign. On the backend of the dashboard you can find the Activity feed under the Communications Section, here you can see all the comments made by your participants. You can also view the Activity feed on the front end to see how it is displayed for participants, to do this click the speech bubble in the top left corner.

What do the status labels mean in Participants?Once particpants begin the registration process their details appear as rows in the Participants table. There are 4 possibilities for Registration Status No Invite The participant already has an account on GalaBid as they have previously registered for another campaign. They have logged in to the new campaign instead of registering. They will be prompted to enter any additional data/check terms and conditions required by the new campaign when they bid, buy or donate.
