How do I set up a raffle with prizes displayed as separate items?Another way to set up a raffle on the GalaBid platform is by using one raffle item type to sell the raffle tickets and locked items to display each prize in the raffle. See this example Once you have created your raffle item to sell the tickets, you can create a locked item to display each prize on the platform. For example if you setup your raffle item with 7 prizes available, you could then setup 7 individual locked items in order to display the raffle prizes as seperate items.

Do all my raffle tickets have to be the same price?You need to check the laws in your region. In the UK all tickets need to be sold at the same price. If local laws allow raffle package prices can be set up. Edit or create your raffle item. Expand Advanced Options under the description box , click + RAFFLE PACKAGE and set the details of your raffle package. Add one or multiple packages.

How do I set up a raffle instead of an auction?Go to Items > Add item. On the Item Type field use the drop down menu to change this from Auction to raffle. Visit Setup > Registration and edit the Terms and Conditions to ensure they are relevant for your particular raffle/prize draw. Ensure your raffle complies with local gambling laws. If in doubt contact the relevant authority in your country or state.

Can I enable notifications so I know when someone has purchased a raffle ticket?This is not currently available. The Raffle performance can be tracked in the Summary Section in the side menu. The Raffle Report can be downloaded via the Reports section.

Where does Market Value show when I add it to a raffle item?The market value of the Raffle item shows on the raffle ticket purchaser's invoice. Add a market value for the raffle item by editing the item, expanding Advanced Options under the description box and entering in the amount in the Market Value field.

Can I hide the number of raffle tickets remaining for sale?Currently this isn't possible. The option to hide it from within the dashboard will be available before the end of 2022. To have it hidden manually send an email to helpdesk@galabid.com with the details of the raffle item.

Can participants pay later or pay 0 for raffle tickets?Raffle tickets cannot be given to participants free of charge. Tickets must be paid for at the point of purchase. For example there is no option for tickets to be added to a participant's invoice to be paid at the close of an auction. With GalaBid's Voluntary Contribution and Fixed Fee pricing options all payments including raffle ticket purchases must be made via Stripe. Can I run a 50/50 raffle on GalaBid?A 50/50 raffle's prize is built into the ticket price. The total amount earned by raffle ticket sales is split evenly between the winner and the charity. On GalaBid the campaign administrator sets up the raffle and connects the raffle to a Stripe account to process the payments. In the case of a 50 50 raffle the campaign administrator would recieve all of the funds to the bank account associated with their Stripe account.

How does GalaBid ensure a fair raffle draw?GalaBid uses a PRNG (Pseudo Random Number Generator) with suitable entropy and ensures that ticket selection is uniformly distributed, which means when we use a random number to select a ticket, no tickets are more likely to be picked than others.

Crediting raffle ticket sales to individual ticket sellersThis can be acheived by adding a custom field to the raffle campaign's registration form. Ticket purchasers can type the name of the person to credit with the sale into the cutom field. The campaign admisitrator has access to this data via the Participants report. Step One Go to the setup tab > registration. Step Two Click add a custom field. You will then want to set the field type to 'Text' and write in the custom field for example 'Student/Member of staff you purchased your ticket from'
